I've been asked to teach our college-age Sunday School class tomorrow. They want to ask me some questions about speaking in tongues and other so-called charismatic gifts. It should be an interesting discussion.
MacArthur's "Charismatic Chaos" is the best book I've read on it. Also, Cottrell's new book "WTBW The Holy Spirt" ought to be good. His paper back, The Holy Spirit - A Biblical Study is great too. Hopefully you have a few weeks so you won't just touch on it, but knock it out!
I'm with Willis. MacArthur's book is a good one. If you get a chance, check out the documentary film "Jesus Camp." It was on A&E last week. I DVR'ed it, but I don't know how to rip it to DVD for you.
